Eric took a moment to gather his thoughts, ignoring the empty threat of being tossed out now. The ferry was already on its way. An easier atmosphere had fallen between enough that he didn't want to say 'I slept with a she-wolf and we couldn't keep our hands off each other'. It wasn't worth the risk of her actually kicking him into the lake. His mind turned to Jani, the last thing he needed to do was out her accidentally.
She looked all too pleased to help him with his inquiry. How much could she really know about werewolves?
"Compulsion," he answered plainly, however vague that was. "Specifically its use by a non-alpha or Packmaster on another werewolf." He'd hoped he worded that correctly. The idea that the attraction to Jani was only a wolf thing and not anything real scared him the same way he hadn't been sure it was really Gael that kissed him at that party.
