Her own age was never far from her mind, and so hearing that this was his sixth existence made it all to easy to connect the dots, and her eyes drooped at the corners out of grief for the painful cycle he was cursed to repeat. "I'm sorry for that. But it seems..." she hesitated, shaking her head, not sure her impression was right and so deciding not to share it after all. "Have you had good in your lives?" she asked instead, gentle and hopeful. She had no idea how his curse functioned, and she didn't want him to feel pressured to share those details.
Considering all she'd done in her extended life, from the Siren who had found and turned her when she was on death's door all the way to meeting Sam so randomly just over a month ago, she had to agree with his thought about fate. "I came today with my... boyfriend. That word feels so inadequate." She chuckled softly at the absurdity of the moment. "I live in the city, and he's a newer transplant here. Do you... Do you live in this area?" Would she have a chance to talk to him more? Would he even want that?
