Giulia and Aubrey and Joe
It took Aubrey a minute to even come up with any appropriate words. "Start with 'this is weird'?" That was what she'd done, but it also seemed like the best word to describe the whole situation. "Or 'fucked up', if that's more your style." Aubrey didn't swear often, and she knew she didn't look like someone who swore often, which sometimes made it effective as a way to startle a laugh out of people. She didn't really expect either sibling to be able to laugh right now, but it might give him something else to think about for a minute.
There wasn't really enough time on their walk to come up with anything more concrete than that. Aubrey stood awkwardly, halfway between Giulia and her brother. Clearly, she didn't need to introduce them to each other. Failing to find anything encouraging to say, she exhaled. "I am going to go get you -" she pointed at maybe-Dom - "a soda or something. It looks like the line's pretty long, so I'll be a while." She hadn't even looked at the line, but she was planning to keep her distance to give them at least some time to talk unobserved.
"Both of you try not to freak out," she added, before leaving them to it.
