That was definitely something he could appreciate. If he were a different man, he could see how indulging in Iris's offer could be fun, therapeutic even, but he just wasn't the sort of man that could use another woman to get over his divorce, not even if it was already finalized. Kissing Kate had made him feel guilty enough in that respect, though he felt enough of a connection with her that he didn't actually regret kissing her. He might wish it had happened at a later time, but he could easily see how spending any significant time with her would have led to that moment. The supernatural pheromones, or whatever was happening that night, had just sped up the process. "That sounds about right," he said, not surprised at all that that's how he'd described Iris to Em.
"I think it will be," he said agreeably. "And she's given me the green light to farm the land however makes sense to me." Within reason, he assumed. "So, I really appreciate that.
