Dawn + open

Dawn had always enjoyed Pride celebrations working in hospitality, seeing the way people celebrated and expressed themselves in way that made them happy, though it hadn't been until sometime after last year's Pride that she had started to explore her own sexuality. Pride this year was going to be very different for her, not just because of that. Big parties were always a double-edged sword these days, bringing an underlying current of anxiety that she could lose control with so many people around. Even that fancy gala had been fun but put her on edge as though she could feel Gabriel there somehow.

There didn't seem to be anything demon-y in the air tonight, although Dawn was slowly losing the will to live with tonight's drink special. She usually didn't mind their themed drinks but layered rainbow shots might just deserve a special place in hell, particularly when they were being offered on a Saturday night.

When the next customer got to the bar, Dawn's smile said 'welcome' but her eyes said 'order the rainbow shots and I'll take five years off your life'. "What can I get started for you?"

Did it feel good to get out of the city? Yes. But it was also mildly terrifying. This was new and different and unknown, and Natalie didn't always do well with unknowns. Yet as she walked into Hollow Hill and saw the Pride theme a day early, it immediately put her at ease, as if this was her favorite bar back home that had just had a makeover. The advertised rainbow shot looked quite festive and delicious, and she could admit that she was sorely tempted.

When she got to the bar and the gorgeous blonde tending it smiled at her, she offered a small smile in return. "Could I get a mojito, please?" she asked, falling back on her favorite summer drink if only because she wanted to have something to hold and sip on rather than a shot she would knock back in one go.

"Ooh, fun. Good choice." Dawn mentally checked through the ingredients, starting to gather the mint, sugar and lime to muddle them. "One mojito coming right up." She was looking forward to some of the more summery cocktails coming back into popularity with the warm weather and making a mojito made a nice change from tonight's pride drinks.

Dawn peeked at the woman as she began making the drink, an instinctual part of her reaching out for the tiniest of tastes, her magic feeding back that the woman was human. "That shirt is so cute," she said, admiring the floral layers. "Are you out with friends tonight?"
