Summary Germany and Italy get married, the only problem is Romano moves in with them, causing hell, whining about Spain, and being mean to Germany.
A/N I wrote this a long time ago and my writing has vastly improved since then. :3 Most
Ludwig was up before Feli, like normal. It was about five in the morning and he was preparing to head off to work... only he knew that he wouldn't be allowed to leave until Feli had him eat breakfast. As he buttoned his shirt and straightened his nice, clean tie, he couldn't help but feel embarassed. Last night, he and Feli hadn't exactly been quiet, which wouldn't normally have been a problem, but Lovino was just down the hall and probably heard the whole thing. He expected the older brother to come in at any moment and attempt to beat him senseless for sleeping with Feli... even though they were married.
Luckily, though, Lovino hadn't made a show. This helped ease the large nation's nerves. He was finally finished getting the basics of his suit for the day ready with the expection of the jacket, which he wouldn't put on until he left later. Then, he proceeded with his hygiene routine. However, the sound of running water woke his sleeping wife.
Feli made a soft cooing sound as he was roused from his dream-filled rest. Rolling over onto his side and seeing Ludwig at the bathroom counter, he flashed a big smile at the mirror, hoping to get a grin in return. Ludwig gave the smaller nation a subtle smile, before turning back around and walking over to him. Leaning in, Germany placed a kiss on the man's forehead and brushed the unruly hair out of his face. "Go back to sleep, it's still early." Unfortunately, once Feli was awake, he was awake.
Feli reached up and grabbed ahold of Ludwig's lapels, pulling him down onto the bed. They ended up rolling over, with Feli sitting on top of him. One, Ludwig was surprised. Two, he was annoyed because he had to straighten out his shirt again. Three, he hated it when Feli was up early because he would then sleep all day and get nothing done. Still, he managed to give his wife a smile. "Ve~ Good morning! I'll go make some breakfast!" At least I can work done early today then...
Ludwig wandered downstairs, still rather groggy, but slowly waking up as the morning went on. He arrived at the kitchen table, suit jacket in hand, to find his favorite mug full of hot coffee. "Danke sch oen, Feli." Italy, however, just hummed away while making eggs, bacon and toast.
After Ludwig had settled into his chair with the cup of coffee, Lovino entered the room, in his pajamas, hair all a mess. "Could you rape my brother any louder?" he spat at Germany. It was taking all of his willpower to not stand up, throw the mug at South Italy's head and proceed to beat him. He just sat there, scowling and drinking his coffee. Feli turned around and gave Lovino a look. "Sorry, Feli," he said reluctantly as he sat down across from Germany.
Finally, breakfast was served. Ludwig ate as fast as he could so he could leave the house as soon as possible. This was not lost of the Vargas brothers. "Hey," Lovino began, "in a hurry to see your mistress now, are you?"
"Lovino!" At Feli's scold, Romano silenced himself for the rest of the morning.
In the office, a mountain of paperwork stared at Ludwig... With the exception of his time with Feli, he felt like his "alone time was his happy time" which was particularly accurate with the current guest at his home. He didn't hate Lovino, it was just that Lovino seemed to hate him. Regardless, he sat down at his desk and started teaching the paper who was boss around here.
Just before lunch, the pile was nearly depleted. Sadly, however, his boss peeked in right then and held up another stack of papers. "More came in, Germany. I'm counting on you, now!" Ludwig sighed and continued.
He hated bringing work home, but sometimes it had to be done. He could also use it as an excuse to avoid Romano. Feli despised how hard Ludwig worked, but he did respect the work ethic Germany put into everything he did. Around seven in the evening, Feli shouted up the stairs at his husband to come down for dinner. "In a minute!" was the response. A few moments later, Romano had burst through the door of the home office and shouted at him, "He said dinner was ready, now get your ass down there now!"
After dinner was finished and everything was cleaned up, Feli said he was tired and going upstairs to bed. Ludwig got up to follow him, because, he was tired as well. Lovino made every day feel like a long, grueling day. At the moment he stood, a hand grasped his wrist, "Hey, keep your hands off him, now." The frustration was starting to build in the larger nation, who took his own hand, placed it on the one holding him, squeezed and twisted. Romano recoiled in surprise.
"Good night, Lovino," Germany said coldly.
Chapter Four
After another awkward and annoying morning, it was actually Ludwig's day off so he locked himself in his office all day. Having no work to do, he sat at his desk with a book; fill in whichever type of book you wish. Around noon, though, he was roused by the ringing of the desk phone.
"Ja?"
"Ludwig?" a rather disappointed voice replied, "It's Antonio... is Lovino there?"
Ludwig raised his eyebrow curiously. "Um, yeah... but I don't think he really wants to talk to you. He was pretty upset the other day."
"I know... I wanted to apologize to him..."
"I'll go get him."
Not more than five minutes later, the phone could heard crashing against the base, accompanied by many a swear-word in multiple languages. Ludwig was about to knock on the office door to see what was the manner, when it was flung open and he was almost trampled by an enraged Lovino. "Ack! Romano!" South Italy didn't pay him any attention and stormed off... probably to talk to Feli... Feli could always cheer him up some. Must have something to do with being brothers... Then he shook his head vigorously, Nah, Gilbert is still a useless, cyanide-sucking ass.
Germany was the last one that night to hit the hay. Around ten in the evening, he was walking down the hall to the master bedroom, but was stalled by some soft sounds coming from Lovino's room. Curious, he pressed his ear against the door to listen. Lovino was crying his eyes out. He could understand the pain the boy was going through, but that didn't give him the right to take it out on everyone else.
Still, he felt bad for him and went downstairs to the refrigerator. He searched through the shelves to find a nice, cold bottle of beer. Upon finding one suitable, he went back upstairs to Lovino's door. He knocked gently. "What?" Ludwig opened the door enough to stick his hand and the bottle through.
"Thought it might make you feel better. Want it?"
Germany could hear the sounds of bare feet on carpet. Romano opened the door, looking horrible. Ludwig handed him the beer... and got a door slammed shut in his face. Damn, I was trying to be nice. Anyway, the large country resumed his trip to his own bedroom. He was about to open the door when he heard a door farther back down the hall open. Turning his head to look, it was Romano standing in the hallway. "Thank you."
Chapter Five
It was two weeks after the first phone call from Antonio. Somehow, Ludwig had managed to keep himself together during this entire time, keeping himself from killing Romano or himself. Today, however, was going to be a good day overall, Germany just knew it. He was helping put Romano's stuff into the appropriate boxes for returning to Antonio's place. Lovino, however, was not actually working, but sitting in Antonio's arms, snuggling and kissing, sometimes directing Feli and Ludwig on what to do.
Somehow Spain and Southern Italy had made up when Ludwig wasn't looking and the older of the Italies was leaving the house, hopefully for good. Finally, I can have a peaceful home with Feli.
Since they had gotten married, Feli had taken to wearing only dresses. He actually looked good in them, at least to Ludwig, but as long as no one questioned his gender, he could pass as a woman with a flat chest. Today, he was wearing a burgundy dress with a white apron. He had a matching headband in his hair as well. Still, though, he was helping Ludwig pack the boxes fervently, also happy to see his brother go back home. "Ve~ at least he's smiling, Ludwig, it's good to see him this way."
It took several hours to pack the boxes the way Lovino wanted them and to get them loaded to the point where Lovi wouldn't complain. Antonio would have helped, but his wife wouldn't let him go. It was Feli and Ludwig doing all of the work. When it came to loading the boxes into Antonio's truck, it was just Ludwig.
As the pair climbed into the cab of the truck to leave, after hugs from the Vargas brothers, Ludwig finally had a chance to breath a sigh of relief and wipe the sweat from his forehead. "Auf Wiedersehen!" he shouted after the truck as it pulled away.
"Aw, now I won't know what to do all day without Lovi," Feli murmured, "I hope he visits us a bunch!"
Please be joking, please be joking, please be joking...
