"All right, but ... I'm sure there would be other examples that would probably somehow be my fault." She wondered if she'd be nearly so paranoid if she had only one element, or if it was the fact that she was a rarity that made her so completely convinced she was going to be killed because of her magic. Somehow.
She sighed quietly and shrugged a little before she moved closer to the edge of the cliff, peering down. It was a long drop though, and she edged herself backward and away from it. "But, okay. I mean, not to belittle your element or anything, but ... you couldn't have set things on fire, or made a flood, or ..." She gestured vaguely with one hand to indicate that even wind was somehow more disastrous than earth.
Then again, she was really unfamiliar with the element and the possibilities it presented. There weren't any other earth mages in her circle and none that she knew of employed by the Academy -- prior to him.
Still, he at least had a point ... everyone was out of practice teaching magic, and even if people who had been teachers came back, they were likely to be rusty themselves. Unless they'd kept up through tutoring or something.
