Jaime snorted slightly at his response. "I wouldn't tell and there's no one up here to witness it," she pointed out. She shook her head a little before she glanced over to him again.
She shrugged in response to his question. How about her? How was she? Today, or overall? She figured he had about as good an idea of how she was as anyone did, because she didn't think she was exactly subtle about her hiding. Hiding was easier than coping though. She was afraid, a little, and she was certain she was going to screw up on an epic scale and get herself exiled or something.
"I don't know," she finally admitted. She tipped her chin up slightly to watch a cloud trekking across the sky before she turned her pale blue eyes back on him. "Scared," she added with a shrug as she looked away. "Thinking I should just ... I don't know. I think me being at the school is ... I don't think I'm in any position to be teaching people. Young people. Not when I can't even ..." She gestured with one hand and shrugged. "He's looking for someone to teach me properly, but I don't see it happening soon." Or ever, honestly, but soon seemed more conversation-appropriate.
