Hello! I have two bits of plot.
Firstly, the ski trip! It should be this weekend if that suits everyone. The people going are Cary, Andrei, Ben and Katie. Astoria was going to attend but Margaret said she's backed out. (Not too late to change your mind!) Please natter away in the comments if you can think of any specific happenings during the trip.
Secondly, Ter will be getting delightfully drunk before his wedding and he'll basically be giving away large sums of cash to all and sundry. Please comment if your character wants some free money! We're talking thousands, if you like. Though it can be a small amount as well. (Ter might have to live like a "normal person" for a while after this.)

Millie and I are happy to announce that the HEROES WON!!! The final score was 230-360, and Terence caught the Snitch, which means that the Heroes were behind by two goals at that point. The game itself was pretty close, and I expect the fans were all on the edges of their seats.
There probably wouldn't have been a party afterwards because so many of the Heroes needed to go to Parvati's wedding!

Today is Parvati's wedding day! (Has she mentioned lately that she's getting married?!)
Chances are you're invited either to the ceremony or the evening. Parvati has a soft spot for just about everyone who was in Gryffindor and/or the DA, Nitin was a Hufflepuff (I'm going to say class of '95 which puts him a year older than Barney, Gwen, etc., and a year younger than all those NPC siblings). Oh, and they can't ignore that whole pureblood aspect of society.
For a bit of visual inspiration, here's a few ideas. The bride wore orange and the bridesmaids were Lavender and Padma.

SORRY I've been kind of forgetful when it comes to Quidditch!! But it's the final match on Saturday and it's the Heroes v Hogsmeade! Overall Diagon Alley won 3 of their matches, Helga's Heroes won 2 of their matches, and Hogsmeade only won 1 of their matches. But in a surprise twist, Hogsmeade won by enough points in their last match to push them into second place when you look at the season's total scores:
HEROES: 850
HOGSMEADE: 690
DIAGON: 650
There's probably a lot of talk about Diagon Alley being ~robbed~ of their place in the final (mostly from disgruntled Diagon fans) and hopefully also a lot of people saying WOW LOOK HOW AMAZING HELGA'S HEROES ARE. Which... I didn't even realise they were so far ahead until I added up the scores.
SO. WHO WILL WIN??? I HOPE YOU HAVE YOUR TICKETS BOOKED. It's going to be an exciting game!

Hooray, Parvati's getting married in a week! But first she's going to enjoy a night out with her friends which will culminate in dancing at the Grotto (and probably a few doses of a hangover potion on Sunday morning). So I thought I'd throw up an OOC post for any characters who were invited or who happened to be out on the town.
And in case anyone wants plot ideas, here's a couple of suggestions:
Tom Pippin tries to flirt with some tipsy hens, but they turn the tables and persuade him strip off his shirt and dance with them.
Unfortunately, [Character Name] throws up and ruins [Character Name]'s shoes. Ick.

Before I forget, Parvati's going to have her hen party on Saturday. So if you're female and friends with Parvati, consider yourself invited. I think it'll be an evening of dinner and dancing. If there's a theme, it's definitely alcohol (read: getting drunk) and talking about men. Yay.

Hi folks! Thought I'd put up a post (read: Margaret made me) so we can talk OOC about casino night. So, all my boys except Tali will be there. The heavy gamblers will be Andrei, Ter, Humphrey. The rest might dabble a bit and give up soon as they've lost some money. I dunno if Ernie is going to accuse anyone of cheating again but he might. Zach will have a drink or several.

Soooooo I forgot to put something up yesterday, but the Heroes won their match against Hogsmeade! And the random number generator came up with a score of 310-160 which I'm only realising just now meant that before the Snitch was caught the two teams were neck and neck! Dramatic!
And I assume there was much celebrating afterwards.

So, contrary to what my behavior lately might suggest, I don't want this game to die. A plot post is heading your way though it won't be heavy on over-arching game-wide plot. I'll get back to that next month.
Also, at the suggestion of Natasha, I'm going to try bringing my characters back into the game little by little so that I feel less overwhelmed. So, expect to see the Montgomerys and Hannah around, and I'll work up from there.
Sorry, guys. I'll try to be better from here on out.

As he doesn't seem to have had one, I'm going to declare today Gavin Orpington's memorial service. For funsies, let's just say it's in Helga's Hill. Somewhere, I don't know where. And then afterwards some of the mourners will go to the Salty Badger and try to remember some good stories about dear old Gav.
Stephen will be there, probably holding Mandy's hand if she has the time off work to go.
I'm going to assume that Henry Radford will attend to observe the mourners, maybe? That's probably something for the Daily Prophet to speculate on: what if one of the mourners is really the murderer?
And I don't know if Adair would be here. That might depend on what her PR person decides? Shrug.

Hey guys,
So, I'm going to be real with you here and say that for a variety of reasons I'm struggling with some pretty gnarly depression at the moment. It's making it really hard for me to think or concentrate or get into the mindset of the game. I've been hacking away at the plot post, but it isn't really coming together how I'd like. I am working on it. But if you could keep doing what you've been doing until I can get it finished, that would be great.
I'm really sorry. You guys deserve better.

Just to let y'all know that in tomorrow (Tuesday's) Daily Prophet there will be a story on ~crowd trouble~ at the Harpies v Tornadoes match, and how YOBBISH FANS are ruining the noble sport of Quidditch by fighting like Muggles in the stands (implying that it's somehow okay to fight as long as wands are used...). There will be a lovely photo of Zach rolling around on the ground with two other guys (lol) with Emelda just visible in the background, looking vaguely curious/confused as she watches them.
HAVE FUN WITH THAT.

Okaaaaay so the Quidditch match was today, and Millie and I agreed that the Heroes would lose, but it would be a narrow loss. So good job Chasers, bad luck Seeker. :( I used a random number generator to come up with a score of 200-210 if that suits?

Drumroll please... as of the new year, Astoria has finally picked up a new job... as a hostess at the Glass Slipper! I don't think she'll post about it so I'm just mentioning it OOCly so your character is welcome to see her around there or try to bribe her to get last-minute reservations or whatnot.
Also, over Christmas she told her parents that she'd be open to them helping her find another future husband, so if anyone wants to come up with any plot about that just let me know. She's trying to take things slow, have a few dates at the ol' Greengrass residence, think about a long engagement...
