Art: The Well of Memory
Title: The Well of Memory
Team: Canon
Artist: [info]sherant
Prompt: Cups
Rating: G
Warnings: Image Heavy
Summary: The suit of Cups corresponds to the Water element and the color Blue. It holds the deepness, the well of memory, the record of our existence. I find they also suit Harry and Draco's canon relationship quite well. Please enjoy!

Art is such a give-away, where an artist's style is very distinctive - but honey, this is some of the best work you've done. A truly lovely composition, and some fine, expressive character rendering. Just... beautiful!

Wow, nice work. Didn't realize about the Pensieve until the end. Hee, little Draco looks so arrogant.

Gorgeous. The snippets in time shows the evolution of the story in a slightly different light. I love it. Particularly the last shot. Poor Harry. I just want to hug him.

OMG artist this is so amazingly beautiful! I love the droplets at the top and the way the memories flow. You aged them well through out the time. I was quite sad for Harry at the end, he misses his Draco. Stunning work. Bravo!!!

SQUEEEE it is such a treat to see the finished product! I love all the colours especially the backlighting you use in many of the scenes. One of the prettiest had to be their hands in the fiendfyre....wow. Talk about a powerful image.

Great buildup of romance, they are so BLESS. GO TEAM CANON WOOOTS

Wow.
Stunning!
What a clever opening with making us think of water and swirly emotions, and then drawing out out of the memories and show us what Harry is really doing. *heart breaks*
The movement was brilliant, and the colour contrasts really memerable.

You're so not on my team, but, dude. I don't think my teammates will thump me for saying YOU ROCK!

That is just gorgeous-the cool blue water and god, I love the warmth when Draco is riding Harry's broom. And the pensieve at the end-so so sad. Wonderful work.

amazing, passionate, beautiful story-telling work. the scrolling verticality is so perfect, for web media, and for the metaphor of well. The colour is dreamy and beautiful, and I too love how the golden warmth highlights their closest moment.
five stars, four thumbs up, 3 french hens and an Oscar!

Holy wow, Batman. This is absolutely stunning artwork. The interwoven scenes, the way it is rendered, the narrative : beautiful. I'm usually not so much about digitally rendered drawing, but I think you've achieved a great gestural look here.

One small crit that I was going to say is that the boys probably should have had softer features in the Madam Malkin's scene, because they don't really look 11. But I just love young!Harry's facial expression so I am totally willing to excuse this!

The frame where Draco is slying copping a glance at Harry is brilliant, too. And I just love the colour contrast - overall, but especially in the broom flight frame.

This really is just fantastic. So much bravo to you!

Gah, this is gorgeous! I love the composition of it, the way the blue ties everything together, and each moment is perfectly rendered. My favorite is the close-up of Draco's mouth and Harry's ear -- very intimate. Nicely done!

OH WOW!

I love the colours in this, the darkness of the reds contrasting with the blue of the framing, how the swirling circles follow all the way down.

I know I'll come back to this just to look at all the detail, but even one look tells me it is fantastic and really captures the hopeful and tender side of H/D in canon. I especially love the photographs in the bottom frame, which are clearly Ginny and the children, Harry's lost expression is just perfect.

To say this was gorgeous could never do it the justice it so desperately deserves. By the time I finished scrolling I had tears threatening, wishing there was something else, something that could give Harry (and me) more hope. The story this tells is quite powerful, and the desolation on Harry's face at the end has me utterly captivated, wanting to reach out and give him any comfort that I can.

This was a wonderful interpretation of the prompt.

This is just a beautiful work of art. When I reached the end and saw the pensieve and the family pictures and Harry's wedding ring, it brought a tear to my eye. Well done.

Wow. My words are left wanting.

Firstly - the colours totally blew me away. I love the first section especially, with the ripples in the water, and really especially love the third section, the hands brushing past each other in Quidditch. The scenes at the end are particularly heartbreaking, when you see that all these pools end up in Harry's penseive - with nothing acted upon, and nothing come to pass despite all the longing that seems to be on Harry's (and Draco's) part.

Ultimately, I really love the way the entire panel moves - from one scene to another, all tied together by the ripples of water and the blue that we eventually see to be part of Harry's penseive. The expression on Harry's face is heartbreaking. *wibble*

Totally. Breathtaking.

I'm not familiar with the artists in this fandom, but I cannot wait to find out who you are so I can see everything else you've ever done. This just blew me away, it's so gorgeous. In particular, the escape from the Fiendfyre is astounding.

Brilliant! I read the summary and then saw the water image and expected something arty that I wouldn't understand, and then it turned out to be a Pensieve! Well of memory and record of existence indeed. Absolutely brilliant. And very gorgeous art, too. ^-^
