Thanks for reading! Yes, I think Harry and Draco's animosity wasn't just a personal one, but was compounded by the burden of centuries of house prejudice. I've found it interesting in post-DH fics to see how many authors seem to want to address/correct this failing.

'Evolution of the spirit'--that's exactly what it was. The 'big' things in live, I think, have the potential to push us either way on that spectrum; happily, both Harry and Draco went forward.
