I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to do justice to this amazing story in a comment tonight, and I regret that, but I swore I'd be in bed long ago and just couldn't put it down. You write wonderfully paced, suspenseful action sequences, which is lucky because this story was packed with them. And you write magic with that sinister feel that makes it pop off the "page", it's so powerful. Most of all, you wrote Harry and Draco as genuinely damaged characters whose discover of each other felt natural and believable. This is the kind of story that I read H/D for.

This is one of the best fics I've read in the hd_worldcup. The description of even some minor actions are fantastic and I could really see an older Harry and Draco there.

I loved the change in the story about the Horcruxes in a way that still made sense (keeping the part where Dumbledore is keeping Harry alive so he has to die!)

Wonderful fic.

What a gorgeously written and compelling alternate universe. The slow build of the relationship between Harry and Draco was very well done. And that last scene with Draco needing to kill Harry was very well done.

*starts breathing again*

Oh, I was so close to broken. I hoped that it would all be ok, but then I wasn't sure, and it was so... *whimpers*

Lovely, fanony, canony, angsty story! This is how a great sacrifice should look - this was love and passion and fear and destiny wrapped up beautifully.

Gorgeous build up, great alternate approach that still kept all the key elements of the canon, and truly solid, heartwarming, lusty H/D. This felt so very comfortable.

Oh wow, the suspense at the end there was heart-in-mouth inducing. I enjoyed this a lot, and it was very true to your team and prompt.
