Notes: I needed to write an Epilogue story to see if I could make some sense out of it. I should probably warn for infidelity, although that's practically a given with Epilogue fic. As is the angst. The title of this story is from W.H. Auden's "September 1, 1939." One scene (and its dialogue) is borrowed from Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows. As always, I am immensely indebted tosarcastic_jo for encouragement, correction, prodding, and beta. Huge thanks also are due to sweetsorcery for the French translations.
