Title: Between Then and Now
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Era/Time-Frame : 5 years after the end of the war. (Epilogue non-relevant to the time-frame but otherwise the fic is completely consistent with canon). The only thing that is not canon, however, is the information that JKR has given about Harry’s future profession and Draco’s.
Rating: G
Word Count: 6,261
Warnings: Spoilers from all seven books. The information that JKR has given us after the book was done about what happens to everyone has also been incorporated and respected with one exception, mentioned above.

Summary: For the war crimes that he has committed, Draco Malfoy is punished with a fait worse than death – being publicly forgiven and defended by his arch nemesis. But he is surprised to discover that the Harry he meets after many years is very different from the boy he once hated, and that what drives Harry to forgive him is something much more complicated and meaningful than pity.

Author's Notes: This was written for the wonderful anonymous exchange [info]hpslashnotsmut   for user [info]sesheta_66  . She asked asked for plot, angst, a hot first kiss and a hopeful ending.
