Lesley was so fixated on her work that she didn't hear anyone approaching from behind her, and having her earmuffs on didn't help matters much either. She gave a start when he spoke, dropping her shovel in the snow as a result of her surprise. When she turned to look though, she breathed a sigh of relief and took a few steps toward him to close the distance between them before throwing her arms around him in a hug. "Terry!" she exclaimed happily. "Oh, am I glad to see you!"
Only a few seconds into their hug, Lesley noticed the shovel he was carrying and pulled back from him slightly. "Oh... are you serving your detention now too?" She frowned, looking over at his outfit to make sure he was properly covered up from the cold. The motherly instinct in her forced her to reach out and adjust his scarf a bit better to cover some small exposed portion of his neck. "It's really awful out here today. We'll certainly catch a cold if we do this for too long."
Satisfied with the way she had fixed his scarf, she turned back to pick up her shovel, yet it was nowhere to be found. "Where did..." She walked over to where it had dropped, and upon closely inspecting the ground, she realized it had sunk deep into the snow. "Oh goodness..."
[ooc: no matter, I love all your characters, so I'm happy. =)]
