"You'll use one again," she assured him. He'd have to learn to at least deal with one if they were going to have any sort of future because her parents couldn't be expected to communicate by owl all the time with their daughter.
"I don't know," Hermione shrugged. "It might be easier to deal with if it were a regular occurrence." That might be one of the reasons the jibes from the Weasley clan were easier to handle then the every day innocent remarks her family was making. She was used to them. Her family, on the other hand, was almost foreign.
As she laid the last of the forks she looked at him, "I'm glad you're here, Ron." She reached out and took his hand. "Diana, can you get everyone their drinks?" she called out before turning back to Ron. "We've got about a half hour before dinner. Care to go for a walk?" She knew that once the meal started there would be no escape for the rest of the evening.
