"The whole fami--" Ron was starting to feel lightheaded. It was a good thing that Hermione had her arms around him before he could start to pay too much attention to how his surroundings were beginning to sway. Here was the great Ron Weasley, Auror-in-Training, destroyer of horcruxes and wielder of the mighty sword of Gryffindor, and he was getting peaky at the idea of Hermione's family. Hermione's Muggle family no less.
He was further distracted from his mini internal hysteria when this great-cousin Kaylor showed up making snogging accusations already. And they hadn't been snogging at all, because Ron would know damn well if they'd been snogging. Still, he maintained his composure rather splendidly, only giving this Kaylor a casual wave of the hand in greeting. He then reached down and took Hermione's hand in his, lacing their fingers together.
"I'm not going anywhere," he whispered back to her.
