It seemed as if the weather was getting colder and colder with each passing day and nothing seemed to keep them that warm anymore if they went outside. At least she could cast warming charms on the inside of their tent so that they wouldn't all catch a cold. Falling ill wouldn't do any of them any good in a time like this, and therefore she had to do absolutely everything that she could to make sure that that wouldn't happen. Their heads needed to be completely clear for them to finish the job that Dumbledore had left for them to do, though it was more like a destiny for Harry.
Hermione was curled up in her bed with the sheets pooling around her waist as she leaned up against the wall that her bed was cushioned against. With The Tales of Beedle the Bard propped up in her lap and a quill in the other, she adjusted herself a little bit with a heavy sigh and finally closed the book. She frowned at the cover of it and shoved it off of her lap and to the other side of her on the mattress, and she tossed the quill down upon it. She was growing rather tired of trying to translate all of this in order to make sense of it all. She didn't know how a book full of wizarding fairy tales would be of any help to them, but Dumbledore must have thought that it would have helped! Why else would he have left it for them, after all?
But even if she did start to make even more progress with the translation, how would it help them? Especially when they couldn't even destroy that damn locket. How did Dumbledore expect them to destroy all of the horcruxes and then kill Voldemort? She knew that Harry would have to be the one to defeat Voldemort, of course, but there was no reason that her and Ronald could not help him with it. She wouldn't ever be able to leave Harry alone during any part of this. She was in too deep now and Harry was like a brother to her, and just the mere thought of Harry dying at the hands of Him made her stomach churn.
Hermione closed her eyes and brushed some of her frizzy hair out of her eyes. She was growing tired of just sitting around and reading all the time. They needed to do something, and they really needed to destroy that locket. She was thankful that it was Harry's turn to finally wear the damn thing, though; it usually made her have an unbearable headache from trying to keep her anger and other emotions at bay.
Usually it didn't work too well, though.
