A brow quirked when he took a seat and motioned for her to join him but she figured "why not?" and headed on over. "Oh good, I was concerned." His word choice could have been better but she did her best to not show that it hurt a little. Well at least she knew where he stood on that subject, or thought she did anyway. Kind of sad that for as nice as he seemed to be that he would have to be thrown into the same category as Jeremy if anything were to happen. Thank god for the pill.
Kat settled down onto the pillows and glanced at him when he mentioned the big news. "I'm waiting." How much more did he need to build it up, really? Sheesh. So the first part of all that was really "blahblahblah" but the end was pretty interesting. "Rich huh? Congratulations." It was good that he and his mother wouldn't have to stress over money, him especially. He seemed to freak out about way more than necessary so this was definitely a great thing.
Then of course he had to go and ruin a good thing. Okay not ruin, but he did make her feel really self conscious because in her honest opinion, she didn't deserve any of the effort he had just made. "You don't have to buy me stuff. I'm good with what I have." It was his money that he should be enjoying, not wasting it on her. "So is that what all this is about? Sharing the wealth?" Kat motioned to all of the pillows and everything. While it was sweet, she didn't want him to think that he needed to buy her affection. If that was the case, she would have ditched him a long time ago.
