Alexandra had been restless all evening. She didn’t know what to make of her encounter with Aldis, even though it had been several days since she’d flirted with Alex so blatantly and even had the audacity to kiss her! It was hard to think about anything else.
Because of that the, normally studious, Caddison was having trouble getting her assignments and studying done. Knowing that the one place that she was unlikely to encounter Aldis, Alexandra had been spending a lot of time in the library over the last few days.
She had even secured permission from the librarian, the alluring Professor Smith, to be able to use the library until it was time for her to do her rounds at ten o’clock. Alex constantly kept looking at the clock. Time seemed to be going slowly yet Alex didn’t seem to be getting anything done.
With a disgusted sigh, Alex threw her books in bag and packed up her quills and parchment. Shouldering it, she walked out into the corridor. Alex wore her uniform, though it was a little mussed. On her cloak, her Prefect Badge gleamed with a bronze tint.
Having run out of clean clothes due to poor planning, Alex was wearing a short from last year that was just a tad too snug and a tad too short for it to be regulation. Luckily, that she knew of, no one had noticed.
The door to the library boomed in the empty corridor as she shut it behind her. Thinking she heard footsteps, Alex drew her wand. “Lumos,” she incanted. A small ball of light flared into existence on the tip of her wand.
Seeing a figure, Alex called out, “Do you have a pass to be out after curfew?”
