Shinya didn't mind shaking hands, it was something that happened with every tour that involved any Western band, but if he could have it his way, he would stick to bowing. Despite how much he'd grown since Dir en Grey began, he still liked to restrict physical contact to those he was familiar with, and it was times like this that he wished the entire world only bowed.
The enthusiasm was met with an awkward barely-there smile and he returned the handshake stiffly. "It's nice to meet you, too," he responded softly, and it was almost like they had gone back in time, where he wore his hair long, his skirts short, and his lipstick red.
The attention had moved to the kitten, but only for a moment, and as Ebizo spoke to him again, Shinya felt like an animal being cornered. He felt as though he should accept, but he knew he couldn't take a while evening of awkward deer-in-headlights on his part, so he offered Ebizo another slight smile.
"Thank you for the offer, but I have a few errands to run.."
