Hermione decided to work on adapting Snape's Muffliato or a similar charm to provide a moment of private discussion among adults without setting her children's ears buzzing. Perhaps a charmed object that could be carried in a pocket and activated by touch would be best. It could certainly be more discreet than waving a wand. Hermione realized she'd started working and stopped paying attention when a pamphlet fluttered in front of her.
