"Dis one, Daddy! And dis! And dis! Look, speckle!" Scorpius bounced around the low table where the newest books rested. He gasped with excitement each time he found a book he hadn't seen yet, which was all of them. The library's financial year was almost up, and they had to use the last of the budget.
Taking Hermione's idea for a day school into account, Draco had suggested textbooks and educational books, all with a hint of fun, of course. He couldn't speak for anyone else, but the books were a great success with at least one little boy.
Scorpius finally picked a book to look at first, and shoved it into Draco's hand to hold. Scorpius climbed into a little chair next to him and took the book back.
"Do you want me to read to you?" Draco asked.
"No," Scorpius said. "Bah wead boo. Is nize."
Draco smiled at his son. "Yes, it's very nice that you can read. If you read out loud, remember to use your library voice." Scorpius nodded, already ferociously locked on his book. Draco looked across the library to see Nova almost finished up with her crafts. Surprisingly, she was only half covered in glitter and bits of construction paper. She must have been extra careful, he thought with a hidden laugh.
