"Apparently," she replied dryly. She guessed as much.
"Scorpius, if you wish to check out that book, you may, but remember it belongs to the library. This isn't the bookshop. We only borrow from the library. We give library books back so that someone else may have a turn." It never hurt to remind the children of the difference. It saved on hurt feelings later.
"I member, Mummy. No buy lie-buewy books. Be cawful, nod Bah's."
"That's exactly right. We have to be careful with them because they're not ours. It's a very good thing you take such excellent care of books." Scorpius beamed proudly at her words and held the book even tighter. "You may take it to the counter, if you're ready to go. Nova? You made a crown. Would you like to put a Sickle in the box to help the library so other people can make them too?"
Nova nodded. "Sic-suhl, pease, Daddy." Hermione grinned at Draco. Her daughter knew which one of them was more likely to dole out the coins.
