"Nonsense!" She laughed at that, the very idea of his boring her seeming preposterous. She sipped her tea, listening intently as he described his 'baby.' The fact that he had couches, his color choices, the generally 'fluffy' feeling of the furniture, the way he described the lighting and incorporated the stars -- she could see all of it, and there were little elements here and there that jarred her memory. It was so very him.
"That sounds lovely, makes me want to visit New York and see," she said. "See, I'm just in academia," she shrugged, though her eyes lit up at the thought of her flowers, "and I do some fancy gardening, but I'm sure that's not particularly exciting." She gestured toward the couple of books. "I did get these for you, though," she said. "All with information you might find interesting."
