It was a hot day, and a muggy day at that. Francesca had opted not to beat her hair into submission with a straightening iron and instead let it dry in soft curls, which would of happened anyway with the weather today so why fight it? She had spent a good part of the day at the beach with Sébastien, the company he was working for had arranged a little on the beach party, and well that was in her job description so she had attended, besides, she had always loved the beach. Something about it felt familiar. The little party had been fun enough but it had been cut short by some such something that had come up and had sent all the men who had given up their suits for the day into a frenzy. And with a small kiss on the cheek and a promise to be back before one tonight Sébastien was off. Leaving Frankie alone for the rest of the day, which was fine by her, after all she had plans and didn’t enjoy lying or avoiding a nice man such as Sébastien.
When she got home she changed into a long silk gypsy dress that was made from the most delicious pattern and clung to her body in all the right places, she covered her eyes with a light Smokey shadow and her lips with red gloss, and slipping her feet into her favorite pair of black stiletto sandals she was on her way.
The night was alive and everything seemed beautiful, but that was usually the case with Francesca. She usually saw the beauty in everything. And it was only a few short blocks to the café the man had mentioned so she opted to walk from her hotel room. She gave a few fleeting thoughts to the fact that there was no way she was going to be able to recognize him but they quickly passed as she stepped onto the patio of the café and choosing a seat outside, after all it would be a crime to lock them selves inside on a night like this.
She took a seat crossing her legs thoughtfully and waited, passing her time by watching an older couple on the corner of the patio. They where so much in love, and it warmed her heart to see it and to know it.
