Jack watched the girl walk over and sit next to him. And his eyes did take note of those legs as they slid down through the bars. Normally this inviting one's self was strange, but in this case there was something oddly familiar about it. He blankly turned his head to the side to glance at her face. His own eyes looking into hers. He gave a small nod unsurprised at her first comment. That seemed to be the thing to do when one was in authority.
Then she said something that caught him off guard. Something about the animals, and destroying. Destroying their habitat. Jack guessed enough meaning behind that to the state of the world. He frowned. "Uhm. I never really thought about it.. But, I.." He paused trying to gather himself. "Guess, the humans already have." How strange. He meant to say WE already have, but instead said the humans. He let go of the metal bars for a moment to rub the side of his head. Was he feeling ok? Again he found himself turning to look at the stranger with the strange tongue and he found himself returning that smile of hers.
