"Good health," she said, in a very British manner at the salute. She shook her head instantly when she saw the look of panic in the blonde's eyes. It was a look she had seen before, so long ago. "I have eaten--" She blinked back the vision, trying to focus on the present situation again. "Oh, please, not to worry. I don't mind at all; I'm sure whatever you've arranged will be lovely," she said. And it wasn't that Anne was a particularly trusting person -- in fact, truth be told, she was not -- but she felt that connection with Chloe, one she knew went back further than these mortal lives they were living, and of that, she was certain. She could, at the very least, trust her with something like dinner, honestly. She sipped the wine, savoring it. "Mm, this is quite good," she said. And, really, that was a good start to things.
