Chloe's stomach dropped the moment she spied Anne approaching and another vision, crystal clear, took hold of her as the blonde stood to welcome the woman.
There wasn't a more beautiful sight as the one currently playing out before her. Her child, her baby, emerging from the cave, blinking into the sun like a spring blossom being reborn. She was home, back where she belonged. The embrace was crushing but the warmth and feel of her girl, back in her mother's arms, made everything right once more.
As the images cleared, she melted into the hug Anne gave her; her own arms encircling the brunette to hold her close. Chloe was an affectionate person by nature, but this was different. And special. Hazel eyes fluttered shut and she inhaled a scent so familiar and dear to her that it nearly brought tears to her eyes. Instead, she released Anne with a little chuckle and motioned for them to sit at the menu-less table. "I'm so glad you could make it," she breathed with nothing but honesty in her voice. "Traffic wasn't bad? Oh! Let me get you something to drink. Is the red alright? There is a white, too, if you prefer that instead."
