Anne was compulsive about getting her voicemail, and as soon as she had finished with her lectures for the day, no sooner was she out the door than her iphone was pressed to her ear, checking the message.
She felt her insides do a backflip at the sound of the voice, and she listened to the message no less than three times before finally calling back (still grinning from the end of the message, which provided quite a vivid mental image).
At the sound of voicemail, she grinned, leaving her own message.
"How d'you do, Chloe -- this is Anne, returning your telly call. I think your idea about Spondi sounds simply splendid, and I haven't any plans for the weekend, so let me know what time works best for you, and we'll see each other then. Have a lovely day!"
