Isabella could tell this man was sincere, in some strange way. His smile seemed to sparkle and she briefly blushed but pushed it away when she realized how ridiculous that was. Something about this man made her feel young, and wanted. But in a way she had never really seen or felt before. But this strange hate came up every now and then, which she attributed to her general distaste for men who use her for her wealth and fame and discard her once they're done "playing" with her. Her past two husbands were similar in that way.
She changed her posture and cleared her throat. "I agree, eating alone is quite boresome. And, if you insist, I hear Vardis has some excellent cuisine." She knew there was something about this man that made her agree so soon. So, her goal would be to find out what this strange attraction to him was. She even noticed she had moved closer to him without knowing it. A peaceful, heavenly place. A soft touch and a warm embrace. Lingering anger pushed away. Thunderous clouds at bay. The flash in front of her eyes was only faint, and left her in a bit of a daze. She hadn't seen anything like that in any of her visions before. She raised an eyebrow, but went back to normal and said, "I am staying at the Grand Bretagne and here on business, though it is my week off."
Ethan watched her change, he noticed how her posture changed and how she cleared her throat and he noticed how she raised an eyebrow. Everything about her seemed so familiar, it was like he could almost tell how some expressions were going to look on her face before she even made them.
"I've heard the same about Vardis," he said, "would it please you for me to pick you up at, say, seven?" he asked.
Isabella looked at him attentively. "Yes, you may, but I'm not one for tardiness, so I expect you to be on time." She started walking over to her table, which was relatively close to them, nodding to the man watching her things that she was back and that he could leave. She went into her bag and grabbed her card, turning and smiling. This felt strange. She handed Ethan the card and said, "Should plans change, you can reach me at that phone number. I have to say, Mr. Ethan, that this whole situation intrigues me."
Ethan smiled at her and took the card. "Thank you." He took his wallet from his pocket and took out one of his own cards and handed it to her. He placed her card inside before putting the wallet away. "I'll see you later then," he said giving her a smile. He felt something when he was around her, being with her was both pleasureable and painful at the same time. Though how that was possible he didn't know. It was like he knew her, he could almost tell how she was going to say things or finish sentences. But that was ridiculous. He had never met this woman before. He went to his own spot and got his things, he put the laptop away and grabbed the journal with his name on it and the Greek letters he had been told said 'Zeus.' "It was really a pleasure Lady Isabella," he said.
Isabella somehow found herself in a daze as Ethan walked over to his things. There was something that kept tugging at her to touch him and be with him, a feeling she immediately suppressed. She hadn't been the type of person to have a fling in years, even though that was way out of the question, right? She just didn't feel like herself. She took the cue and decided maybe staying indoors for some time might help things out. But having had "visions" for quite some time, it wasn't too hard to believe. But something caught her eye. She blinked several times and nodded a goodbye, noticing the journal, but taking a priority in regaining her sanity from this insane moment. Perhaps she'd ask about it at dinner, even if it did seem... frivolous.
