That strange feeling that someone is watching you -- well that feeling was just getting to Isabella's nerves. It was almost nearly impossible to concentrate. It was like a strange nervousness she hadn't felt since she was younger. Plus, her mind was making her look up random information on-line. She tried looking at the guest list the royal family had given to her for the party. Maybe looking at other people would help get her mind off of it.
The man from the counter came by asking if she needed any other assistance. She figured it'd be a great opportunity to get a good 'look of the land'. In her best Greek, she attempted, "Would you mind pointing out the section on local customs and watch my things as I look for something?" She had noticed another worker had come in to help with the shift, so she didn't feel that it was a hard request. He, of course, gladly accepted to stay while he pointed to the corner of the bookstore. She got up and, again, smoothed her dress as she walked toward the corner.
She looked at the section and began browsing. She opened a book and peered over the top of it to see the rest of the room. Her eyes spotted the man that had made her uneasy. He was very good looking, and something was familiar about him. She turned her glance away and back at the books. Business. Business. She had to remind herself to stay on track. Even on vacation, work was priority number one.
