Ethan had been at the bookstore with his own laptop and his own frappe in hand. His journal was closed on the coffee table next to the armchair he was seated in and there was a small pile of books right next to it.
The woman with the long dark hair had caught his eye as soon as she walked in. He hadn't even been looking at the door or watching for anyone, his attention had been focused totally on his computer screen, but something had made him look up.
She looked so familiar and he was struggling to think of where he might have seen her before, but he could think of nothing. He had never met her, he was sure, he would have remembered her if he would have, there was something about her.
He watched as she flirted with the Greek man and felt this rage inside of him. It puzzled him, Ethan had never been a jealous man. He tried to get back on track and look at his computer screen and research. This was one of his few real days off on this trip, without any meetings or anything like that, and he was trying to make the most of it and figure all of this out.
His eyes kept going back to her though and he was finding it hard not to stare.
