Malachi laughed at her act of trying to actually access his shoes. Of course, it'd been a joke and it was clear she knew it, but she played right along. "I could have done worse..." he repeated in a mockingly thoughtful tone. Then he smirked. "I'll take that as a good thing. I feel pleased since I just threw them on this morning without thinking. Maybe I have an eye for choosing what's not amazing fashion, but that doesn't make someone cringe at the sight." He shrugged after a moment. "I don't know. I mean, I got got just walking around muggle London so I guess you could say just walking around muggle London is risky, but I don't feel that way. Nothing, clearly, has happened right now since I changed careers so I guess I can guess that based on what happens later on, right? I mean, judge how risky it is or isn't." He paused. "Honestly? It's always been art and then it just randomly changed to Auror. So no, I didn't consider on possibilities. But I knew what I didn't want to be - some Ministry officer work stuck in a cubicle all day. Talent will not go to waste. Too many people would hex off my balls if I did that," he said with a smile, meaning it. "You have time, Astoria. You have time to find something you actually want to do and will love doing."
Malachi grinning. "No lying this time. Remember, she also already knows what a jerk I am so..." He grinned at her as he trailed off. "Please do. I'm sure we are important enough to fit, too. We will make sure you're not bored." He laughed. "I won't truly understand until you back stab us all and then I will be the first to say 'I knew it!' and have people to tell to me to just shut up already." He grinned. "I hear that alot, honestly."
