Malachi grinned. "At least you can always get home," he said, amused. "And hey, finding yourself someplace you don't know can be a good thing. Sometimes." He knew there were hidden parts of London that can be only found by exploring, which he'd done often himself. He was sure anyone who was living in London - past or currently - had taken the time to explore everything. He'd found most of his favorite places by exploring, away from the tourists and crowds. "I've heard that, but I've never understood it. But I guess the shoes are a women's shoes while a man has his other toys," he said, happily. He knew he had his 'toys'. Mostly his art supplies and such things, but he knew that most people couldn't understand why he loved them as much as he did. He could see her surprise when he mentioned his career change which wasn't unexpected. The surprise came from everyone. It seemed rather obvious that no one expected this change in his life. He smiled, showing no shame or guilt in his change of career path. "Yeah, I started training in May," he confirmed with a nod.
He smiled and nodded. "Yeah, it is," he said, meaning it. It meant a great deal to him and he wasn't ashamed of admitting it. "I can only hope so," he said with a grin. "As a younger brother, I never paid attention to what my sister was doing in the romantic department of her life," he said, not bothered by it. He'd had enough going on in his life - both in the past and presently - that he never really paid much attention, and Thalia never put it in his face for him to have to pay attention. There was a small part of him that sort of wished that Thalia had something going on that he couldn't ignore. He laughed. "Well, maybe lying is a bit of a stretch. Maybe you should just focus and accent the positive during your speech at my funeral. Does that make it better?" he asked, teasingly. "Well, I'm touched."
