Re: OUTSIDE IN THE FIELD
Meaghan wasn't surprised by his opinion of her, but she smiled wickedly when he said 'ice queen'. "Ice queen? I like that," she said happily with mischief in her voice. "Then again, I like being described as any kind of 'queen' even the unfavorable kind."
She continued to dance for a moment before she sighed softly. "Look, not that you need to know this, but honestly, it's not that. I pretend to be aloof, yes. Mostly it's to protect myself. Once you're labeled the 'nice' or 'approachable' Quidditch star, you get bothered a lot more. You get harassed more, even, for things in public. I do my fan services. I don't mind then. But when I'm out shopping, I really don't want to be harassed for something from a fan. I don't want my meal interrupted by a fan asking for a picture or autograph. I want to enjoy my life on and off the pitch. So, no, you're shop is not below me. You are not below me. If I thought the shop - or you - were I wouldn't go there at all. All you have to do to see what I mean about the public opinion of a Quidditch star is look in recent papers. Making myself appear to be the ice queen actually protects me more than anything. And it protects my daughter by giving her the time with her mother she wants and deserves without being interrupted. She knows then, without a doubt, she's her mother's first priority. And that is what's important to me."
