Astoria laughed at Katie's reaction. She kept dancing, liking the encouragement although it wasn't necessary any longer. She knew it must have been strange for the other woman to see her like this. Astoria hadn't thought about whether it would be a surprise to her or not. It wasn't as if dancing or having fun was a novelty to Astoria but it was generally only ever close friends who really saw her let go. Strangers at a party full of nobodies didn't matter to her. But any event with a good number of upper class purebloods saw her on her best behavior.
Once the heat from the fire was too much, Astoria moved back . She closed her eyes, blocking everything out again so that the only thing that mattered was the music, her hands waving in the air, and her hips swaying back and forth.
