Astoria frowned at her empty glass. Her little discussion with Daphne had ruined her mood and she didn't really want to stay at the party any longer. A nice, long bath sounded much better. But she couldn't leave her date without saying anything. Instead, Astoria plucked another glass of champagne from the tray of a passing waiter. At least there was alcohol. Lots of it.
She walked through the crowd looking for someone she knew before spotting a familiar figure. It had been months since she'd spoken to Katie, but she'd always been nice to Astoria.
