Daphne enjoyed Astoria's irritation. It'd been what she was gunning for in fact. Maybe she shouldn't be. In fact, she knew she should be mature enough not to try to irritate her sister, but she couldn't help it! It was easy to get under Astoria's skin. Daphne derived a sick enjoyment from doing so as well. It was like a game. How long would it take for Daphne to see the subtle or obvious signs of annoyance in Astoria? Tonight it seemed to have taken a bit longer than normal, but maybe it just felt like it since she was surrounding by drunken, loud people and fire dancers of all things.
She smirked, feeling rather proud of herself at the moment. "Well, that's good. That way you won't be disappointed. I'd hate to see you disappointed," she said. Her tone betrayed none of the nicety that her words would normally incite. It was arrogant and amused instead. She didn't even try to disguise it. Seeing the forced smile and Astoria looking away with a glare on her face, Daphne shrugged her shoulders. "Well, I guess I'm going to go insider where it's clearly safer."
