Astoria's smirk grew wider at Daphne's reaction. It really wasn't much of a surprise but it still amused her. She acted as if it would be the end of the world when she had just told Astoria that no one would even remember. Daphne's response irritated her and she suddenly felt as if she needed a drink. Maybe she could find her date and actually have fun instead of letting Daphne get to her. Just because she wasn't teaching at Hogwarts didn't mean she couldn't find other things to do. And she'd get a job as soon as she figured it out what she wanted.
She turned abruptly to Daphne, shaking her head in denial. Astoria scoffed. "I'd rather be not married and happy." Married and not miserable was exactly what she was planning to put off for as long as possible. "I think that's a sound plan. It's really his responsibility, not ours," she replied in agreement.
