Daphne openly scoffed at the suggestion, shaking her head. She certainly wasn't going to try it with Astoria or anyone. It'd be just asking to be mocked later, and since she wasn't going to be drunk, there was no built in excuse for later. "I think I'll pass," she said with a sarcastic smile tweaking at her lips. She raised her eyebrow at Astoria, unsure what else to say. Of course, Astoria kept herself busy and she had no idea how to be honest. Not having a job would be boring to Daphne even if she did help their father with potions. She knew Astoria was being expected to go to tea with their mother and her friends now and then, but she wasn't sure of much else. "Well... that's nice."
She smiled at Astoria's laughter, thankful that she didn't reply. They were both threading down a road that they really didn't want to be on. Divulging too much - or even hinting at too much - would be a bad idea. It was best to leave it as it was for now. She could see Astoria's annoyance, but ignored with as she shrugged her shoulders. "When you're married and... not miserable, then you'd thank me," she said with a smirk. She was being honest. "Well seeing that Cleon is the only male, too, I think we could always say how important it is to pass alone the Greengrass name. We certainly won't be doing anything but furthering the bloodline while he'd actually be giving our name with it. It might work."
