Astoria laughed at Daphne's little joke, not because it was funny, but because she'd actually said it. "I'm sure you'll be just fine. There is always aguamenti to save you from certain death." Besides, Daphne was clearly sober and Astoria didn't think she ran a risk of an accident involving fire dancers. She didn't want to get too close to them either, however. She didn't like fire and she didn't like dangerous things. Maypoles were much safer.
She hadn't meant it as an insult. Astoria saw it as a strength and as something to value. It was useful. "Thank you, master." There was a hint of sarcasm in her tone even though there was still a smile plastered on her face.
