Daphne wasn't appeased by Astoria's answer. If Astoria wasn't enjoying herself, why didn't she just go? Unlike some people here - and Daphne felt herself was included - Astoria didn't have to be here. She was under no obligation to stay and pretend. She looked around her, watching the dancers. Her eyes rested on a fire dancer for a minute, and she immediately took an unconscious step backward. She did not want to be the causality in some accident.
She looked back at her sister. "I guess interesting is one word for it," she said, her discomfort now clearer in her voice. Other words would be stupid and dangerous, she added to herself silently. She let out a humorless laugh. "If I do that then I'm sure you'd be sure to get pictures as proof. Or blackmail. Or both," she said, though her voice had taking a teasing lilt in the end.
