Tonight was not Gellert's idea. He'd rather be anywhere else. All the people dancing, talking, and sipping their wine wasn't interesting to him. It was rather silly and frivolous. He did his rounds, pretending to find the boring, droning of those who were just barely sober. They clambered around him, trying to engage him longer than everyone else in conversation. He wouldn't hear of it. He escaped from each conversation as soon as he could manage. No one was worse than another, but he was trying to finish up the night as soon as he could manage. It was good enough for him.
He kept glancing outside. The outsides was no any more enthralling than in here, but it'd be outside. Perhaps being outside would liven things up, but at the same time, it didn't matter. Despite the urge to go outside, he continued to move around the ballroom, smiling and nodding at those he passed.
