Re: INSIDE THE BALLROOM
Maddox had the time off. He'd had to be on duty later on, but right now, he could enjoy himself. As quickly as he could without raising suspicion, he had drifted away from Andromeda. He wandered the ballroom alone, munching on the finger food that was offered, and making small talk to those he knew. It wasn't so bad. While it felt stiff and just like any other Ministry event, he felt that it could be worse. Sounds and noises from the outside festivities drifted inside to him which made him think outside was much better. Yet it seemed that even if he wanted to, he couldn't get away to check it out.
He mingled and did everything he was supposed to, but he kept a look out for Molly. He knew he shouldn't. This was very public and nearly every important member of magical society was here, but he couldn't help himself. He wanted to at least see her all dolled up. While he knew it'd be more risky to speak to her, he could do that too. They were old friends, colleagues. No one would really think twice if they did speak together or even dance as long as they didn't take it too far.
