Mandy didn't know why she'd came the moment she got there. The whole idea of Beltane was interesting, but it certainly wasn't something that really interested her. The idea of dancing and frolicking was a bit weird to her. Once again, she'd forced herself into a dress that seemed okay and looked halfway decent on her, but she immediately felt uncomfortable in. She was used to what she wore at the sanctuary or around the house, not some pretty dress that she felt strange in. An hour after being inside the ballroom, she slipped outside.
It was certainly different out here. Her eyes widened at the sight of the fire dancers, feeling transfixed by the swirling flames. She had no idea how they managed to actually do it. With dragons, she was used to fire, but it was in a different way. She were controlling the fire, making it go and do what they wanted. It was amazing. She felt like she was watching wandless magic that, well, she knew wasn't magic at all. It was skill, plain and simple.
