Re: OUTSIDE IN THE FIELD
Meaghan had had enough of being inside already. She'd probably spent twenty minutes smiling, dancing with a few men, and trying to act like she wasn't bored out of her mind. The outside looked more promising to her. From inside, she could already see the bonfires, fire dancers, and revelers. Once she could, she slid out the door and outside. The Ministry had done a good job making the whole night more interesting. Looking around, she felt her excitement and interest immediately pick up. This could be fun.
Walking to the side of the mansion, away from the crowds, she kicked off her heels and moved into the crowd. Her green dress clung to her curves and trailed a little on the ground but she didn't seem to notice. Who cared if the dress was ruined after tonight if being outside saved the night itself for her? She could buy a new dress. Or two. She could only imagine how Lena would enjoy herself with all the fun, loud, and fire being played with. Of course, if Lena was here, Meaghan wouldn't have any fun as she tried to make sure her daughter didn't get burnt or hurt in the crowd. She was a bit protective of her daughter and some would say overly so. She couldn't help it. Lena relied on her for her safety! She had to watch out for her.
After grabbing a pear from the table of food, she tried to push the thoughts of her daughter out of her mind and focus on what was around her. She'd love to dance over the maypole or maybe she'd try her hand at the fire dancing.
