She didn't need him to say anything or expect him to agree and instead took a sip of her drink. When the sound of the glass felt too loud she put her hand over his, stilling its movement and stopping him from sliding the glass again. Astoria pulled it back quickly, afraid she'd crossed whatever invisible line was between them. She gave him an apologetic smile before taking another swig of her own drink. She was sure she'd need another but she would refrain from having one in what she considered respectable company.
"I'm well aware if tonight is any indication," she replied. "Unless it's the alcohol, in which case, I might have to buy you drinks more often," Astoria teased.
