Astoria almost laughed at him when started coughing. Was she being too forward? She could always blame it on the one drink she'd had. She smirked, not something she did often. "And who is the judge of that, exactly? Besides yourself, of course." Not that she doubted his abilities. Once the bartender arrived she smiled at him and ordered another drink for herself. "Can I buy you a drink?" she asked Cormac, the smirk still on her face.
"Perfect son? Really?" She had to laugh then. It was surprising that she found his confidence more amusing than irritating as she usually would have. She decided that he was as lucky as be thought he was. She would have sympathized with him about disappointment. Even though she could get away with more as the youngest child, she dreaded disappointment from either of her parents, her father especially. "I'm sure you were quite a handful as a child."
She stared at him for a moment. Courage wasn't really her forte but for Astoria it simply boiled down to pride. Too much of it. Instead of answering, however, she simply asked, "Do you?" It was a loaded question, but that was what was fun about this entire encounter.
