Buddy System Sign-Up
BUDDY SYSTEM SIGN-UP SHEETS AVAILABLE

A PSA inspired by the singular stylings of Rafael Alejandro Ramirez, esq.

  • Buddy system sign-up sheets are now available.

  • Current locations: Library, all four house camps.

  • Signing up for a buddy is not mandatory; this is available for those who want to ensure they can find a peer to walk with.

  • If you need a buddy: Put your name, house, destination, and ETD on the sheet

  • If you can be a buddy: Put your name under "partner(s)."

  • Please be reasonable and arrive at the sheet at, or slightly before, the agreed-upon time.

  • Do not vandalize the sheets; tamper-proof charms have been applied.

[Prefects, etc.]
I didn't think I needed to pass these by other prefects, Cecil, or Maggie. Hope that's okay. Petrichor approved them in the library, and Merrill approved them for Azurcrest camp — he said he would distribute them to the other houses. This is my attempt at reducing the number of students who complain because they can't find somebody to walk home with.

If somebody writes something more than a letter, number, or check mark, it disappears. Try to draw dicks on my sign-up sheets now, Chris suckers!

Consider this my official approval of this list and its composition. I did not read the actual content, I only checked it for even bullet points and an authoritative tone. It has met my exacting standards.

[Prefects]

Of course I actually did read it, and it's an excellent idea. I spent a couple of hours just walking back and forth between the lodge and campsites to get freshmen where they needed to go. And then I was stranded at Ribbonfin for a bit because no one needed to leave.

I understand the point of the buddy system, but this will help with logistics.

You really should become a teacher with that marking philosophy.

[Prefects]

My pedometer's probably going to set itself on fire after a week of this. Thanks for ferrying the freshmen to and fro; hopefully after a few days they'll be able to find other walkers through the sign-up sheets.

Well, there's your problem: Ribbonfin typically only leave their camp in the first week of November, when they migrate south for the winter. Do you want an emergency flare for next time, just in case?

I would model my teaching style after Vector.

[Prefects]

In the meantime, it's good exercise, maybe? I need to be careful that I don't

Maybe just in case. Ribbonfins are such strange and beautiful creatures. Their way of life is mysterious, and I hope one day the scientific community will understand them better in order to protect them. We have been polluting their environment with parties and arguments.

I don't think the world's quite ready for that pedagogical style...

[Prefects]

It definitely is! Personally, I'd prefer it if more students were prepared to jog back to camp, though. A Coppertale freshman called me "Chariots of Fire" when I suggested it after the pumpkin carving party, and I'm undecided on whether or not I should be insulted.

Oh no, I missed that episode of Planet Earth. :(
